About the blog

I started blogging way back in 1997, before it was considered cool and the concept of blogging was embroiled into the sphere of social networking. Helges.net was registered in 1999 and since then it has been like a virtual sandbox for me. Trying out new technologies and learning along the way. Since of late, I have decided to put my blogging efforts more or less aside as it takes too much effort and my motivation for keeping it up to date with new content has long faded away. Instead I want to focus my blog on another creative side I have been fund to nurture ever since I got my first 35mm SLR back in ’99: photography. Helges.net will now be a place where I blog more with the visual imprints I manage to capture with my Canon EOS Mark II. I’ll try to keep the webpage up to date with pictures from everyday life, and of other interesting motives that might accidentally stumble in-front of my lens(es).

My name is Helge Nordgård (hence the domain name). Freelance consultant and small business owner from Moss, Norway. I mostly do web aspirated creative and technical work. I like to unwind by reading books, playing computer games and last but not least capture interesting moments that might otherwise be lost somewhere in our cerebral cortex.
